Future Ready Institutes Open House - TONIGHT from 5:30-7:00 downtown at UNUM.  Come see all the different programs available at high schools across Hamilton County that our 8th graders could be part of next year.   Parking tonight is at 5th St and Walnut St.  Event at 500 Walnut St.  Visit HERE to learn more about the institutions offered or find applications that are available until March 15.

Listening Session with Dr. Johnson - Tomorrow, Feb. 26 at 6pm at East Brainerd Elementary.  Come hear what's happening and what's hoped for with our area schools as well as ask questions.  Wear your CSLA gear and find me to sign in for volunteer hours.

Wagon Wheels West! - Our amazing actors and actresses will take the stage on Thur, Feb. 28 at 7pm for a show that is sure to get your boots tappin' and your fingers snappin'.  Tickets are $5 for adults, kids are free.  Come out for a fun night and support these hard-working kids!

Strings Pizza Fundraiser - Tomorrow 2/26 is the last day to order a pizza from Marco's for Thursday.  You can request it be handed to you in the pick-up line or ready for you and your family to eat at 5:30 in the Cafeteria before the play that night.  Large cheese or pepperoni is $10 and and Extra Large cheese or pepperoni is $12.  Please send checks payable to CSLA Strings Committee to the Office along with your order form.  Forms also in the Office.  What a great way to solve the dinner problem AND support the musical talents of our students!  Pizza Order Form.pdf

Book Fair - March 4-8 in the Library.  Open for purchases from 8:30-4:30 with special evening hours on Tuesday.  The Book Fair will close at noon on Friday, March 8.  Pick out some books for your Spring Break road trips and support our library!

Dr. Seuss Week - We'll celebrate the famed children's author's birthday all week March 4-8.  Click the Book Fair listing on the calendar on the website for a list of fun dress-up days and watch for the special email at the end of this week.  It'll be all kinds of Cat-In-The-Hat Crazy!

Granola with Grandparents - Let Grammy and Gramps/Nana and Papa/Mimi and Pop or WHOEVER they may be bring the kids to school on Tuesday, March 5 at 8am for storytime and a breakfast snack in the Auditorium.  Then they can take them shopping at the Book Fair for a treat!  Thanks to PTA for sponsoring this sweet morning together!

Celebration of Learning - Join us for some important PTA news, fun giveaways and a look at all your children have been up to recently on Tue, March 5 at 6pm.

Parent Hours - Reports will come home this week on GREEN PAPER with your youngest child for hours completed through today, 2/25.  If you feel something is missing, please let me know!  Remember all hours are due by Tuesday, April 30 at 4pm.  We've had several evening and weekend opportunities lately and have a couple more coming up, but you really don't need to wait to get started.  Opportunities are always listed on the website under For Parents and at the Volunteer quick link on the home page.  Be aware that there are several off days in March including Spring Break and conferences, and volunteers will not be allowed in the building until noon when we begin testing in late April.  We will also not have volunteers in the building on April 26.  Please, please don't jeopardize your child's place here next year by not fulfilling your commitment.  We need you all year long - come be a part of CSLA!
