I hope everyone enjoyed a long weekend and took time to reflect on what we can each do to better our community and humanity as a whole in the way Dr. King did so beautifully.

School Climate Survey - Opens tomorrow, Jan. 23 through Feb. 13.  Please take a second to complete this survey - you may want to think of one specific child to answer about if you have children in different grades.  And remember, if you complete the entire survey, you can sign-up to receive 30 minutes of volunteer time PER FAMILY.  But you'll need to sign-up by the date the survey ends - FEB. 13.  Beginning Wed, Jan. 23 (tomorrow), take the survey HERE and sign-up for volunteer time HERE.  These links are also listed on the calendar if you click on the actual event.  It is important that we have a great response!

Middle School Dance - This Friday, Jan. 25 from 6-8pm.  Tickets are $5 at the door and the theme is Glow in the Dark.  Encourage your student to come and have a great time!

Volunteer Opportunities -  I have listed new opportunities on the website.  These include working concessions at the Robotics Tournament on Sat, Feb. 2 at Chatt State and attending a Parent Tech Class on either Thur, Feb. 21 or Sat, Feb. 23.  Up to two parents/grandparents can attend this class for volunteer time.  There are also spots to volunteer at school through Feb. 8.

Lost and Found - Items continue to find their way there every day.  Please label your student's jackets!  Even with initials I can usually get it back to the right person.

Super Bowl Box Top Battle - Regardless of how you feel about how they got there, it's the Rams vs. the Patriots in the Super Bowl!  Beginning Thur, Jan. 24, there will be collection buckets in the Auditorium and the Gym where students can bring their Box Tops and vote for their favorite team to win.  No need to write names on the bags - this isn't a class or individual contest - just a friendly and fun way to earn CSLA some extra cash!  We'll see who takes home the trophy on Feb. 3 and if CSLA picked the winning team!

Bundle up your kids and have a great week!
