To My Beautiful CSLA Families -

CSLA is often described as being magical.  We say magical learning happens in classrooms, magical connections happen in our hallways and magical experiences happen outside our walls when our community comes together.  But we know those things aren't really the result of magic - they are the result of the heart.  A heart for genuine learning.  A heart for curiosity.  A heart for children and for each other.  A heart for the quest to see what could be possible within every student.

Since 1999 when my husband was hired as a middle school math teacher here, part of my heart has belonged to CSLA.  I believe in what we do here and in the amazing people who make it happen and in the precious children it's all about with every piece of my heart.  I am so grateful to be a part of this school and of this gathering of families.  Your dedication to your kiddos and your willingness to be a servant to them, their classmates and this outstanding faculty and staff is a joy and honor to watch.  You touch my heart every year with your sacrifice and creativity and flexibility and with your smiles and words of encouragement.  Those kindnesses never go unnoticed or unappreciated by me.

Next year I have the opportunity to share my heart in a new role at a new school.  I'm excited to be the College and Career Advisor at STEM beginning in the 2020-21 school year.  I hope to draw from the inspiration I've received from CSLA's faculty as I look for the potential in each student and help make their dreams come true.  It is time for me to put the words "lifelong learner" into action and see what I can do!

For now though, I am still your girl!  Please keep sending me your questions and concerns and I promise I'll keep sending you emails - HA!!  I will always be a part of CSLA and my sweet Cora will be a student here for many years to come!  I hope the friendships I have made here will endure and even though I am leaving in a professional capacity, this school and these kids and YOU will always be in my heart.  Thank you for allowing me to serve you, to learn from you and to grow with you.  We are all part of a quite extraordinary little place!  May we never take that for granted.

We Are CSLA!
Jennifer
