Thanks to all who came out to participate in and volunteer for a beautiful yet chilly CSLA 5K on Saturday - we had a great time!

PTA Dodge for Dough Fundraiser - Donations will be accepted through this Friday.  Currently the PTA has received a donation from about 40% of our families.  I know they would love everyone to participate in any way they can!  If 200 more families give $50, the goal for the fundraiser will be met with no problem!  Please consider whatever amount you can to continue the academic excellence that happens at CSLA each day.  You can send money to the office via the attached form, used PayPal HERE or donate through Venmo to @CSLA-PTA.  Dodge for Dough Final.pdf  THANK YOU!!

Change Wars - Go through the couch cushions, clean out your wallet and junk drawers and find some change!  Buckets are in the Cafeteria for students to bring their change in to vote for their favorite Thanksgiving side dish this week - will mashed potatoes or mac-n-cheese win out?  Let's have some friendly competition and bring in a few extra coins for the PTA!

Basketball Home Game TONIGHT - Against East Ridge - come support your Eagles and Lady Eagles!  ALSO, we need someone to do concessions TONIGHT at 4:15 - if you can help and want some volunteer time, email me!

8th Grade to DC - Our 8th grade students and their fearless chaperones leave tomorrow night for a week in Washington, DC.  They'll visit the Smithsonian museums, the Capitol, the Library of Congress, Arlington National Cemetery, all the monuments, the Holocaust Museum, the African American Museum and the Pentagon!  What an extraordinary opportunity for our students - we wish them an amazing and safe trip!

Celebration of Learning - THURSDAY Nov. 21 at 6pm.  Come hear great PTA news and listen to our 4th graders musical talents and the 6th grade band.  Then explore the hallways and classrooms to see what your kids and teachers have been up to recently.  What a great evening to celebrate their hard work and creativity!  Also be ready to win some homemade pies - yummo!  Volunteers needed HERE.

Magnet Applications Open Friday - If you have an incoming Kindergarten student (or know someone who does), the application for the lottery will go live on Fri. 11/22 on the hcde.org website.  ALSO, this is the lottery application for any 8th grade students interested in STEM next year (or any other magnet school).  From the home page, look for the tab that says School Choice.  I will also post the application link to the CSLA website under Admissions.  Applications are due by Jan. 31, 2020.

Lost and Found - Please come look through the enormous pile of jackets and water bottles!  And please label your student's items so they can be returned if lost!

Thanksgiving Break - Next week Wed 11/27-Fri 11/29.  Enjoy the time with your family!
