Important Reminder - Please remember that all dismissal/transportation changes must be made by 3:30pm.  Additionally, if you are picking up your child early, you cannot check them out after 3:30pm.  These policies are in place to keep your children safe - please help us by following them.

Coupon Book SUCCESS - Wow! Wow! Wow!  You surpassed any expectation we had and sold 2100 books!!!  That's over $14,000 for CSLA to build a covered walkway for our students to stay dry and safe!  We are so very, very appreciative of every single book sold and can't wait to draw for our winner of a $50 gift certificate at the Celebration of Learning!!!

Hat Day is Friday - And because our students and parents did such a stellar job with these Coupon Book sales, EVERYONE gets to have Hat Day on Fri 9/13.  So wear your cowboy hat, your baseball cap, your pink fedora or your spring bonnet - but join in the fun (as long as it doesn't cause a stir in class) and let's get our hats on!

Middle School Open Gym - Open to 6th-8th grade boys and girls interested in trying out later for the basketball team.  These will be held on Thur 9/12, Tue 9/17 and Thur 9/19 from 4-5:30pm.  For liability reasons, you must come inside the building and sign your child out at 5:30.  A physical is not required for this and this has no bearing on try-outs or the team, but it is designed for those students who are actually interested in possibly playing.

Celebration of Learning - Make plans for our first celebration on Tue 9/17 at 6pm.  Come hear from the PTA, learn other important CSLA news and celebrate our amazing accomplishments with your school family.  Classrooms will have student work on display so you can see what your kiddos have been up to.  And who can turn down cupcakes and a couple of door prizes?  Let's celebrate CSLA together!

Archery - Our Archery Club begins Thur 9/19 from 4:15-5:15.  This is open to any student 4th-8th grade.  Practices will be each Thursday afternoon at CSLA (equipment is provided) and parents need to be on time to pick students up at 5:15.  This is a club that meets all year long.  Interested students should see Mr. Johnson or Ms. Striker for more information and to get a participation form.

Parent Seminar - The kids do it, so we should, too!  Join us on Mon 9/23 at 6:00pm for an evening of discussion and critical thinking as we participate in an adult seminar.  This is a fantastic way to meet other families and be part of the Paideia process our students experience each week.  And as it demonstrates the willingness to be a lifelong learner, volunteer credit will be given.  Sign up in the Volunteer Opportunities.

Picture Day - Thur 9/26.  Information on ordering will come home next week.  These are the pictures that will be in the Yearbook.

Yearbook - Speaking of, don't forget your 15% discount if you purchase it before the end of the month!  You can buy one online ONLY from the website under For Parents > Yearbook.

Middle School Dance - Fri 9/27 from 6-8pm.  $5 at the door - theme to be announced soon!

Stay cool and enjoy the rest of the week!
