Coupon Books - Today was the first turn-in day toward our goal of selling 1700 books.  Students can turn in money in the Auditorium each day before school begins and books will be sent home that afternoon.  This is a great fundraiser to bring in money from outside our CSLA families and the prizes this year are even better!  Check out the purple form we sent home Friday and let's support our school!  Please remember any checks need to be payable to CSLA and cash must be correct - we cannot give back change.

PTA Board Meeting - Tonight at 5:45 in the Auditorium - anyone is welcome to attend.

Kindergarten 2019-20 - If you have friends interested in putting their child in the lottery, the first Orientation meeting is this Thur, Sept. 13 at 6pm.  Another meeting will be held Tue, Sept. 25 at 6pm.  Attendance at one of these meetings is mandatory to receive an application for the lottery.  Please direct them to the Admissions section of our website for all the information they need.

Celebration of Learning - Join the faculty as they show off the work our students have been doing so far this year on Tue, Sept. 18 at 6pm.  This will be a great night to showcase all the learning going on so far.  We are also welcoming our new school board representative, Tucker McClendon, at a Meet & Greet just prior to the Celebration at 5:30 that evening in the Auditorium.  He is excited to learn more about CSLA and how he can support us - come say hello!

Middle School Dance - Coming up on Fri, Sept. 21 for all students in 6th-8th grades.  This is always a fun night - stay tuned for a theme from the Student Forum soon.  Tickets are $5 at the door, 6-8pm.

Volunteers - Looking for help with the Coupon Book sales - see sign up on the Volunteers icon.

Friday Night Lights - Save the date for Fri, Sept. 28 for this awesome annual tradition at CSLA.  The PTA will have a hot dog dinner ready along with yummy concessions, fun games and of course, some FOOTBALL!  Make plans to bring the whole family starting at 6pm.  Volunteer sign-ups will be posted this week on the Volunteer icon, so be on the lookout.  Great way to earn hours after work and help make this event a huge success!

Opt-In for Texts - Make sure you are receiving all our CSLA info.  Opt-in to receive texts by sending the message YES to 67587.  You'll need to send a text FROM the cell phone you entered for mother or father cell number during online registration.  Stay in the know!

Car Line - Please make sure anyone picking up your student has their hang tag displayed from their rearview mirror so we can load students quickly and efficiently.  Also remember our school zone is a NO CELL PHONE zone.  Let that call wait until you are safely away from school - we don't want distractions to cause an accident.  And please, please try not to arrive before 3:30 when the chain comes down.  The traffic on Vance Rd is terrible and we get multiple complaints from other motorists for the back-up it causes.  Thanks for your help!

Have a great week!
