Celebration of Learning - TOMORROW at 6pm.  Great night of sharing student learning, important upcoming information and more!

Meet Our New School Board Member - Come meet Tucker McClendon, the newly elected School Board member who will represent CSLA, at 5:30 tomorrow just before the Celebration of Learning.  He is excited to promote positive education in Hamilton County and learn more about CSLA and the hopes and goals of our school.  Shake his hand and say hello!

Coupon Book Sales - So far we have sold just over 800 books - we have a ways to go to reach our goal of 1700!  However, both K-5 and 6-8 reached their first Wednesday goal and will (or may have already) enjoy some extra recess time!  Don't forget that by selling 15, 20 or 25 books your student can be entered in a drawing for gift cards!  And this money will be used to increase school safety and keep our technology and classroom materials up-to-date and useful for our students.  Students can turn in money every morning in the Auditorium and books are on sale today, Wed and Fri at dismissal.  We can do it!!

Middle School Dance - THIS Friday from 6-8pm.  All 6th-8th graders are welcome to attend.  Snacks will be served and tickets are $5 at the door.  The theme for the evening is Hip Hop, so come ready to dance and have some fun!

Friday Night Lights - Fri, Sept. 28 beginning at 6pm.  Watch for a flyer this week with all the important details including a hot dog supper, games, a parent/kid football game, popcorn and the annual Teachers vs. 8th Graders flag football match-up.  GREAT night to volunteer for parents who need evening hours - sign up at the Volunteer icon on the website.  Bring your chairs and hang out with your favorite Eagle fans for a fun time sponsored by the PTA.

Golf Tournament - The Friends of CSLA is hosting its 4th Annual Golf Tournament on Tue, Oct. 23rd at Windstone.  Interested in playing or being a sponsor?  Find all the information you need on the CSLA website under Golf Tournament.  Volunteers are needed and sign-ups will be posted soon!

Kindergarten Admissions - The final Kindergarten Orientation meeting for CSLA is Tue, Sept. 25th.  The final meeting for CSAS is Thur, Sept. 20th.  Please make sure your friends who are interested attend.  And if you have a sibling coming to CSLA next year for Kindergarten, you still must attend our Orientation meeting to avoid having to go in the lottery.  Sign-ups are on the website under Admissions.

Basketball and Soccer Try-Outs - Try-outs for both sports for Middle School boys and girls will be next week.  Remember your student must have a current sports physical on file to even try-out.  Be sure to check the calendar under Athletics for try-out info, times, dates and specifics.  All games are already posted on the calendar there.

Open Gym - Continues for middle school boys and girls on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this week until 5:30.  Students must be picked up from INSIDE the school and on time.

Open Soccer - Any middle school student is invited for friendly scrimmages on Wed, Sept. 19 from 4:15-5:30 on the soccer field.  Bring cleats, shin guards, a ball and water.  Open to ANY middle school student, even if you aren't intending to play this year.  Please pick up on time.

Have a great week and make plans to come tomorrow night for a FABULOUS evening showcasing our super star students!
