Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are vital to the continued success of CSLA - we can't make it without you!  Please be sure to read the description of each opportunity so that it is something you can and are willing to help with.  These sign-ups ensure that needs are met and work is prepared to make your volunteer time more efficient and effective.

Click on any of the opportunities below to sign up!

Collect Car Rider Numbers - (All Year - WEEKLY Commitment) Arrive at school by 3:40 to gather numbers from cars in the dismissal line.  Earn 15 min/day for time volunteered.
Volunteer at School - (Oct 15-17)  Come help us during the day!  You never know what fun things await, so please come willing to do whatever is needed to support our teachers and students.  Make sure to sign in at the Office and then see Jennifer Parris.
Training for Basketball Clock and Book - (Oct 15)  Come learn the basics of each responsibility so you can help the teams this year.  Hours given for training if you volunteer during the season.  Open to ANYONE - not just basketball parents.
Chick-fil-A Dinner during Conferences - (Oct 17)  Help the PTA sell Chick-fil-A during Conference night.  Please do not sign up if your conference is scheduled during the time slot.  Sign-in at the table in the Foyer to receive time.
CSLA 5K - (Oct 26)  Be a part of this CSLA tradition at the TN Riverpark on a beautiful fall Saturday morning!  A volunteer is also needed to gather a few door prizes.  Remember the race is NOT at CSLA.
Book Fair - (Oct 18-25)  Help out the Library during the Book Fair.  Volunteers MUST be able to commit to the ENTIRE 3-hour time slot and MUST be able to use the cash register and count money to help students.  During slow times, you may be asked to do other volunteer work in the Library.
Grounds Clean-Up - (Weekends thru Dec)  Come anytime during the weekend, bring a trashbag and gloves and clean up our CSLA grounds.  Pay special attention to the playground, parking lots and area outside the Auditorium.  One adult/one hour per weekend.  Email me after you have finished and thrown your trash away in the blue dumpster behind the building.
Soccer Concessions - (Oct/Nov)  Open to ANYONE. Support our soccer team and Sports Boosters by setting up, running and cleaning up concessions out at the soccer field for home games.  You are signing up to work during BOTH girls and boys games unless otherwise noted.  An email with instructions will be sent to you before your volunteer day.  Two ADULTS per game.
Food for Conference Night - (Oct 17)  Can you provide some dinner for our teachers as they stay for a long evening of conferences?  Food needs to be to the Office no later than 3:00 that day.  Hours given as noted on the sign-up.  Please send in container/bag that does not need to be returned unless it is a crock pot.
Robotics Tournament - (Nov 22 and 23)  Come be part of this jam-packed day where our CSLA FLL Robotics team will be participating.  The tournament will be at Red Bank Middle School and is heavily dependent on its volunteers, so please honor your commitment if you sign up.  This is not a CSLA event, but you will receive volunteer time.

Amazon Gift Cards - CSLA is now offering our families the opportunity to earn volunteer hours through the donation of Amazon Gift Cards.  Please read the attached guidelines before donating.  Thanks for your support!  Amazon Gift Card Guidelines.docx
